Kim Kardashian continues to open up to her fans about the painful skin condition she suffers with - psoriasis.

Psoriasis caused sore red, flaky patches to occur on your skin and can appear anywhere on your body. According to the NHS, psoriasis affects around two per cent of people in the UK and is is a long-lasting (chronic) disease that "usually involves periods when you have no symptoms or mild symptoms, followed by periods when symptoms are more severe".

Kim Kardashian was first diagnosed with the skin condition in 2011, and has spoken openly of it ever since.

On Sunday, Kim shared a photo on her Instagram stories that showed red patches across her face due to the condition. She captioned it: "Morning psoriasis."

This comes off the back of a candid photograph just last month where she shared that she had turned to a Chinese herbalist for a specialised remedy to try and heal the patches caused by the condition.

The photo showed her lying in bed with the ointment on her face, captioned: "Psoriasis is the sh*t," accompanied by a laughing face emoji.

Kim has also tried several other remedies to help manage the condition including light therapy and avoiding acidic foods.

Many are praising her for her openness, especially because in 2016 she vowed never to cover up the patches so people can start getting more comfortable seeing and embracing the condition.

She has also previously said that she was worried that psoriasis would negatively affect her getting booked for photo campaigns.

In 2016, Kim wrote in her blog: "Sometimes I just feel like it's my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it? 'I'm always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I'm learning to just accept it as part of who I am."
