The Traitors viewers left furious over same reason

While we're all very glad that The Traitors has returned for a new series (and is basically making January more manageable, let's face it), viewers are pretty peeved about one aspect of the new instalment.

The show returned last week and follows 22 strangers as they play the 'ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust' in the hope of winning up to £120,000.

The first episode dropped on BBC One last Wednesday (3 January) and once it had finished, the following two were available immediately afterwards over on BBC iPlayer.

Now, if you've watched The Traitors, then you'll know that it's physically impossible to know there are new episodes available and *not* watch them.

In fact, heaps of viewers have all been taking to social media with the same complaint.

Although the first three episodes were available pretty quickly, the following eps will now air on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays - which means that viewers who binged the first three all in one go are now having to wait almost a week to get their next fix of the show.

One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Watched all three episodes of the traitors last night now I have to wait a week to see what happens."

While another said: "Idk how i’m supposed to wait a week for episode 4 of traitors."

And a third added: "I’ve got to mute #traitors there’s no way I can do it one episode a week. That sh*t is peak binge tele.

"And yes, I’m aware the first 3 episodes are available on iplayer tonight but that’s almost worse having to wait for the rest."

Meanwhile a fourth said: "Three episodes of the traitors on iplayer and now I have to wait six days for the next one?!"

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and filmed in the stunning Scottish Highlands, the UK’s 'nail-biting psychological reality competition' has certainly kicked off to a gripping start, with viewers already obsessed with the second season.

A tagline from the BBC says: “Get them before they get you. 22 strangers, one castle, £120k - Claudia Winkleman hosts the ultimate reality game of trust and treachery. Let the mind games begin.”

And just in case you didn't know, the first three episodes of The Traitors are available to watch over on BBC iPlayer now.

Meanwhile the fourth episode will air on Wednesday (10 January) at 9pm on BBC One.
