The investigative thriller is based on the true story of Asunta Fong Yang Basterra Porto’s murder.

Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, a 'well-to-do couple' living in Santiago de Compostela, adopted Asunta at nine-months-old in 2001.

Flash forward some years, just a matter of days before Asunta’s 13th birthday, Rosario and Alfonso reported her missing to the police.

Her body was found hours later just outside Santiago and the investigation that followed led to the two parents becoming prime suspects.
