Georgia Harrison lifts the lids on 'dead grandad' comment in Olivia Attwood podcast

Georgia Harrison lifts the lids on 'dead grandad' comment in Olivia Attwood podcast

The Love Island star allegedly claimed she'd 'encountered' ex love interest Casey O'Gorman's late grandfather's ghost...

As viewers of the recently-concluded series of Love Island: All Stars will know, one of the most hotly debated moments of the show saw Casey O'Gorman reveal that he 'ghosted' former flame Georgia Harrison after she claimed she'd seen the spirit of his recently deceased grandfather...

Now, I know what you're thinking. What the f**k?! But bear with me, I promise, it'll all make sense in time.

After former recruitment consultant Casey walked into the Love Island villa as a bombshell last month - while Georgia was coupled up with Scottish bodybuilder Anton Danyluk - it became clear that the duo had a history, but she claimed that he'd 'ghosted' her.

After a couple of days, Georgia was seen plucking up the courage to confront him over him cutting contact out of the blue.

"You know me, I'm not really that much of a spiritual person," he told her. "You mentioned my grandad and stuff like that, and it really threw me off. You started to say that you saw my dead grandad - that you saw my grandad and he wishes me well, and I was like, this is way too much for me."

And the revelation sent fans WILD, with viewers unable to process that this was the real reason he'd called time on their romance.

And appearing on fellow ex-islander Olivia Attwood's podcast this week - a month after her downright bizarre conversation with Casey - Georgia has finally shed some light on what really went down between them.

"Do you know what? I think I do need to speak on that situation because there's so much around the entire thing that I don't think has been conveyed," Georgia began, already leaving gal pal Olivia in stitches.

She went on to claim that she and 2023 'winter series' star Casey, 28, had enjoyed a 'more than a fling' romance and had been 'seeing each other for a couple of months' before appearing on the star-studded version together.

"We went on loads of dates together, we'd speak everyday, we went on staycations," Georgia explained. "Since I broke up with my ex last year, he's the only person I've actually dated for a significant amount of time. I'm not here, there and everywhere with all different boys."

Going on to confess she 'really liked' the reality heartthrob, she also admitted the duo - who reportedly 'both knew we were going to go on the show' - had had open conversations about the fact they'd met at the 'wrong time', despite feelings getting 'carried away'.

They agreed to end things, and while Georgia claims they agreed to remain amicable, Casey was allegedly 'very abrupt' in his cutting of communication.

"We were really fine until then, obviously his thing about the granddad added to it. But the way he left things, like, 'Look this is killing me, I’m really going to miss you'. None of it was, like, 'I don’t want to ever rekindle'. I didn’t understand it.

"So, multiple times I said, 'Please explain to me, I just don’t understand', but instead of explaining to me how he felt - if it was about the granddad scenario, which is fair - why did you [Casey] wait a month-and-a-half and drop that bomb on national television, when all you had to do was be honest?"

Georgia continued, admitting that prior to walking into the villa in January, she'd been 'sitting there for ages thinking, 'He does still like me and he just wants a bit of a space before we inevitably end up on this show'."

Telling listeners what happened during her encounter with Casey's late grandfather, she claimed: "I felt that I did some meditation that was very intense whilst I was there [on a retreat]. I felt that I was getting a sense from people who have passed in my family in my life that there is another world.

"I believed that I was sensing that angels are still around us, and even when people pass on, they are still part of our lives and some way play a part of it."

It might be a bit far fetched and might not be for everyone but I genuinely believe - having lost my ex and my best friend over the last couple of years - that I do at times have signs that they are there and still with me.

"And during this particular time I had a very overwhelming sense of connection with them."

She continued: "Having been with Casey, we’d spoken multiple times about how it was really hard for him having just lost his nan and granddad, they were very very close and he found it hard to deal with that.

"What I was trying to say was, 'I think they’re still with you, I think they’re still on your journey, I think they still guide you and they probably take a lot of peace out of getting to see you do so well in your life as you are'.

"'They’re probably loving the success that you’re doing and they probably helping you along the way'. I wasn’t trying to say, 'Just bumped into your dead granddad in Tesco, he’s looking fly'," Georgia concluded her admission.
