Pamela Anderson wears no makeup at Paris Fashion Week after sharing tragic reason for ditching glam

The Baywatch star explained why she opted for a bare-faced look

Many of us are immediately brought to images of the iconic smoky eye, thin brows and heavily-lined lip look that dominated the 90s whenever we think about Pamela Anderson.

However, the Baywatch star seems to have ditched her signature look that she's become synonymous with over the years during Paris Fashion Week, and explained the tragic reason for ditching the glam.

During the Isabel Marant show at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday (28 September), Anderson rocked a glowing fresh-faced look with a sleeveless yellow dress and a matching bag completed with a pair of warp-around nude heels.

While it should totally not be a big deal as to whether women wear makeup or not during public events - it's clear it's very much so not the norm.

And this is by no means the first time the 56-year-old went makeup-free as she can regularly be seen without many beauty products on in her documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, which came out back in January.

The docu-film's premise read: "In her own words, through personal video and diaries, Pamela Anderson shares the story of her rise to fame, rocky romances and infamous sex tape scandal."

She's previously opened up about the reason as to why she's scaled back her typical bombshell makeup look, telling Elle Magazine back in August that it came shortly after a huge personal loss.

After losing her close friend and makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, to breast cancer in 2019, Anderson made the decision to leave her iconic look behind.

"She was the best," the mum-of-two shared. "And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup."

Anderon also revealed that ditching the makeup look that helped skyrocket her to fame was actually a welcomed change, telling the outlet the novel experience was 'freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious, too'.

"I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing," she explained.

During that same interview, the actor also delved into what it was like getting 'older'.

She said: "I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older.

"And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, 'Wow, this is really...what’s happening to me?' It’s a journey."

Maybe Anderson will set a new trend of fresh faces on the red carpet.
