Kelly Osbourne reveals she and boyfriend Sid Wilson had 'huge fight' over son's last name

Kelly Osbourne reveals she and boyfriend Sid Wilson had 'huge fight' over son's last name

The US reality star opened up on The Osbournes Podcast

As most expecting parents are well aware, the decision on what to name your child can often feel impossible.

And to make matters worse, you and your partner have to agree on one in particular, so it's no surprise that this conversation can quickly descend into an insult-hurling heated debate.

'We can't call her that, I once went on an awful date with girl with that name!', one of you reveals. "Fine, but we're not calling him that, my auntie's son's sister-in-law's neighbour has just adopted a dog with that name!"

Honestly, the baby name conversation doesn't always go to plan.

And no one is more aware of this than TV star Kelly Osbourne, who has this week lifted the lid on a fiery argument she and Slipknot singer boyfriend Sid Wilson, 47, endured over what to name their little boy.

Despite welcoming the gorgeous tot 15 months ago - having managed to settle on the name Sidney, after his father - they'd previously gone back and forth over whether or not to give him two last names.

Kelly welcomed her son Sidney with husband Sid at the end of 2022.

In fact, speaking on her fan-favourite family's hit The Osbournes Podcast, Kelly, 39, revealed it was the biggest fight they'd gone through as a couple.

"This is personal, and I didn’t expect to ever talk about this, but I’m going to,” she told listeners. "It’s the biggest fight me and my baby’s father have ever ever ever had, and probably ever ever will.

"I wanted our son to have both of our last names, and he wouldn’t let me. We had a huge fight. I feel that I was forced into doing something I didn’t wanna do and I can never ever ever forgive him for that, but we can move on."

The on-screen star - daughter of X Factor judge Sharon and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne - went on to reveal that, at this present moment, her son 'doesn’t have a double-barrelled last name', but will do in the coming weeks.

"After lots of eye-opening conversations [with Sid] and some couples therapy, he has seen the light," she explained.

Kelly described the debate as the biggest argument she and husband Sid have endured.

"We are going to legally change our son’s name to have both of our last names."

Chiming in on the conversation, 75-year-old musician Ozzy applauded the announcement, adding: "Well, it’s in his favour."

His daughter went on to confirm: "We both made our child, so he should have both of our last names."
