Jennifer Aniston reflects on losing massive amount of money following Brad Pitt business split

Jennifer Aniston spoke about losing money when she left Plan B Entertainment following her split from Brad Pitt.

There's absolutely no questioning that Jennifer Aniston has had a successful career - she is a massive star in the hit show Friends, after all!

However, it hasn't always been plain sailing for the 54-year-old - particularly surrounding a rather public divorce with Brad Pitt back in 2005.

As I'm sure many of us are aware, the breaking down of a relationship can be difficult at the best of times, but the vast majority can't even begin to imagine what they would be like being played in the public eye.

However, that is exactly what happened with Aniston after she split from fellow film star Pitt in 2005 and lost quite a bit of money in the process - something she reflected upon in a recent tell-all interview.

The pair first met in 1994, though they didn't begin dating until 1998. They got engaged just a year later in 1999 and married the following year at the turn of the century.

However, after five years of marriage, Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce, calling an end to their seven-year romantic relationship.

During their marriage, the couple were involved on the business side of things with Plan B Entertainment.

But after their divorce, Aniston decided to leave the company that she co-founded while Pitt remained actively involved.

In 2007, The Departed won the company the best-picture Oscar, with awards always being picked up for 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight in the years to follow.

Well, last year a majority stake was sold in to French media conglomerate Mediawan, a deal that valued the company at more than $300 million, as per the Financial Times.

But with Aniston no longer on the scene, she missed out on a massive pay check.

Reflecting on that during a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, she said: "It was like, ‘Go with God and be successful and fantastic,’ which they have been.

"It was the only decision. And not in a negative way. It just was what was right at the time."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Friends actor spoke about how she is 'so over' cancel culture.

"I’m so over cancel culture. I probably just got cancelled by saying that. I just don’t understand what it means," she said.

"Is there no redemption? I don’t know. I don’t put everybody in the Harvey Weinstein basket."

The former media mogul is currently behind bars serving a 39-year prison sentence on four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
