Jennifer Aniston gets flowers every Mother's Day from Adam Sandler following fertility issues

Jennifer Aniston gets flowers every Mother's Day from Adam Sandler following fertility issues

The pair have been close friends for years

Jennifer Aniston has revealed the sweet gesture that her long-time friend Adam Sandler does every year to mark Mother’s Day.

Aniston and Sandler met in their 20s and have been firm friends for decades - as well as being pals off-screen, they’ve also appeared alongside each other in 2011’s Just Got With It and, more recently, Netflix’s Murder Mystery and its sequel, imaginatively named Murder Mystery 2.

Sandler, 56, has recently gushed about his friendship with his co-star, telling E! News: "I love her. She's solid as a rock, she's in great shape, she's funny, she's cool.”

And Aniston was quick to return the praise, adding: "He's such a mensch and you just love each other, he takes you in, and I'm very much the same way and then you become family. It's like second nature."

Sandler added: "And Jen has a family of friends and I have a family of friends, and we all hang."

And during a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Aniston, who has spoken openly about her struggles with infertility, revealed that Sandler and his wife Jackie send her flowers each and every Mother’s Day - a small and thoughtful gesture to let her know that she’s thought of.

Speaking late last year, Aniston revealed to Allure the lengths she went to try and become a mum.

"I was trying to get pregnant," Aniston, 54, revealed. "It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road.

“All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it.

"I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour'. You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.

“I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe'. I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

But while she accepts it was a really difficult period of time in her life, she has a unique perspective on it.

"I would’ve never become who I was meant to be,” she explained.

“That’s why I have such gratitude for all those s***ty things. Otherwise, I would’ve been stuck being this person that was so fearful, so nervous, so unsure of who they were.”

Aniston has been praised for her honestly talking about an issue that is still, unfortunately, taboo to many people going through it.
