Chloe Burrows breaks down in tears after opening up about fake romance with Too Hot to Handle star Harry Johnson

Chloe explained how paparazzi shots of the 'couple' weren't what people thought...

Love Island’s Chloe Burrows has opened up about her fake romance with Too Hot to Handle star Harry Johnson, having revealed why they did it in a new Channel 4 documentary.

Chloe, 28, previously dated fellow reality TV face Toby Aromolaran, 25, after reaching the final alongside him in Love Island.

Last month, it looked like she’d found a new romance in Harry Johnson, having been pictured enjoying a dog walk together in Essex.

But it turns out not everything was as it seemed.

Chloe had actually worked with a paparazzo to stage the photos, even bringing in a dog that didn’t belong to either of them.

Other snaps showed the pair at a restaurant, and coming out of a hotel, but these were also staged.

In new documentary Untold: Love in the Limelight, Chloe explains why she decided to pull the stunt, admitting it was all part of a huge plan – having been told they could reel in a whopping £250,000 for their fake relationship.

“Now I've heard how it all works and the big money involved, I want to put it to the test, it's time to launch my own showmance,” she explained, proving that their connection was all for the sake of investigative journalism.

“If I really was going to be serious, that is so easy to make money off. You can start to see the web of finances that can go behind a reality couple.”

Chloe made the big reveal via Instagram yesterday, admitting that those pap shots had all been a lie - posting one of the 'hard launch' photos on her Stories before adding: "Just kidding! I faked a showmance... for my first documentary!!!"

After the documentary was released, Chloe took to Instagram to thank fans for the incredible response.

Posting a selfie in tears to her Stories, she wrote: “Crying happy tears in the back of this cab cos I'm already overwhelmed by the response. Love u lot xxxx.

“P.S. I know I said I'd never post a vid crying but happy tears are allowed!”

She announced the documentary on her grid, explaining: “GUYS!!! Cannot believe I’m writing this but today marks the launch of my first documentary with @channel4 Untold strand where I explore what life is like for some of our most well-known reality couples living out their romances in the public eye.

“Oh yes…and those paparazzi picture you saw of me and @harryjohnson92 lurking around the press might be part of the plot too!!! / massive huge part… faked a whole showmance!!!”

Chloe added: “Love in the Limelight is available to stream today on Channel 4, can’t wait to hear what you all think.”
