Aaron Taylor-Johnson claims he finds it ‘bizarre’ when people question his life choices - including his decision to marry his ‘wonderful’ wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The Kraven the Hunter actor, 33, met Sam, 57, on the set of 2009’s Nowhere Boy.
Aaron was just 18 at the time of starring in the John Lennon biopic, while the director was 24 years his senior at 45.
In 2012, the pair tied the knot in Somerset and have since welcomed two daughters into the world - Wylda, 13, and Romy Hero, 11.

Aaron is also step-father to Angelica, 25, and Jessie, 15, whom his spouse shares with her ex-husband, Jeremy Michael ‘Jay’ Jopling.
Opening up about criticism he still receives for marrying and having children young, Aaron told Rolling Stone: “What you gotta realise is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13.
“You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that. What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me.”
He continued to claim that critics often ‘perceive’ his family life in a way that detracts from him reaching his career goals.

“But I’m just trying to juggle my family and my work. I’m doing normal life; dentist appointments.
“Career doesn’t necessarily take a back seat, but it takes a different thought behind the choices that you make.”
The Bullet Train star also said that his accelerated choices and responsibilities allow him to be ‘drawn’ to different characters.

“You’re not just some 20-year-old anymore. You unlock some secret thing.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Aaron gushed about his wife and claimed she was both a fantastic filmmaker and a ‘wonderful storyteller’.
“People will think there’s sort of a bias to me saying it, but I think when they see Back to Black [her forthcoming Amy Winehouse biopic], everyone’s going to realise how fantastic a filmmaker she is.”
Despite working with Sam on several projects, Aaron previously claimed that he likes to keep his personal life away from prying eyes.
Last year he told Esquire: “ I've got really nothing to hide, and I'm secure in what we have. But I'm not going to unlock things that are actually precious to me."

The Fall Guy actor has also recently made headlines due to reportedly being involved in ever-circulating James Bond rumours.
It was said that Aaron was tipped to replace Daniel Craig in the iconic 007 role after reportedly completing a successful screen test for producer Barbara Broccoli.
However, when speaking to Rolling Stone, the doting dad said that he doesn’t need to have a future ‘drawn out’ for him.
He apparently added with a ‘wry smile’ that he was only willing to talk about his upcoming projects,

At the time of writing, there is no confirmation that Aaron has accepted the James Bond role and a production insider told BBC News there was 'no truth to the rumours'.
Other names that have previously been linked to the job include Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page, Richard Madden, Dev Patell and Henry Cavill.
Eon Productions, which makes the Bond movies, has said it will not comment on speculation about the next actor to take on the mantle.
