Let's face it, Zac Efron's body wasn't too bad before the Baywatch reboot.

But for the iconic surfer film, he had to get in seriously good shape. (We're talking, eight pack, biceps bulging... the lot).

And while he was certainly a sight for sore eyes as he slow-ran down the beach in the 2017 movie, the High School Musical star has since admitted he has no desire to be that hench again.

Speaking on YouTube talk show, Hot Ones, the 32-year-old fitness fanatic said: "That was actually a really important time to do Baywatch because I realised that when I was done with that movie, I don't ever want to be in that good of shape again. Really. It was so hard".

He explained: "You're working with almost no wiggle room, right? You've got things like water under your skin that you're worrying about, making your six-pack into a four-pack. Sh*t like that it's just not... it's just stupid.

"I'm happy that it worked, I'm happy that it got me through it. I may do it again if it was something worthwhile. But we'll wait till it gets to that. Take care of your heart, take care of your brain and you're good".

Zac has spoken out about his Baywatch bod' before, warning that it was "unrealistic" for men to attempt to get as shredded as he did.

To obtain his super-toned bod, Zac had to consistently eat a high protein, almost zero carb diet alongside a rigorous training regime, made up of stability training, power, mobility, athletic training - often twice a day!

Speaking on The Ellen Show, he said: "For guys, that's unrealistic. I'm telling you. I got very big and buff for that movie, but I don't want people to think that's the best way to be. Like, be your size."

It's nice to know that even Zac thinks we should take a break from the strenuous workouts sometimes.

(Then again, we're sure his cheat day doesn't involve eating a whole large Domino's with all the trimmings!)
