"The Great British Bake Off kneads you. We're looking for a gourmet selection of amateur bakers to enter the tent for the tenth series of The Great British Bake Off," reads the entry website. "If you or someone you know can prove to perfection and rise to the occasion, then why not apply now. GOOD LUCK!"

Applications will close on 6th January 2019, so there's plenty of time to dust off your recipe books and practice baking showstoppers worthy of a Hollywood Handshake.

Budding bakers are asked a series of questions in the application for the show, including:

Applicants are also asked how they'd describe their own style of baking and what their signature bake is.

They are also asked to rate their experience of making biscuits, cakes, meringues and pastries, and list anything they don't like whipping up in the kitchen.

Bakers are also required to send in an image of themselves, along with a few photos of their best culinary creations.

To enter, you must be aged 16 or over, and be a resident of the UK. You can't hold any professional baking, cooking, food production, food preparation or catering qualifications, unless they were acquired over 10 years ago. You also can't work as a baker, cook or chef.

Show presenter Sandi Toksvig has already confirmed she'll be making a return to the show next year, along with co-host Noel Fielding, and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
