Will Smith Makes His Debut As Genie In New 'Aladdin' Trailer
Disney dropped a full trailer for the soon-to-be-released Aladdin live-action remake on Sunday night, and it sees Will Smith finally make his debut as Genie.
The one minute-long preview doesn't give much away about the movie, although fans do get glimpses of the cast in their new roles, such Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott stars as Princess Jasmine.
Will made an appearance towards the end of the trailer as Aladdin rubs his golden magic lamp, blue smoke pours out and Genie comes to life.
Painted blue, Will takes over this beloved character from the late Robin Williams, who became synonymous with Genie and won a Golden Globe Award for the role.
"You really don't know who I am? Genie, wishes, lamp? None of that ringing a bell?" Genie questions Aladdin in the trailer, which Disney released during Sunday evening's Grammy Awards.
As for the rest of the clip, there is little to no dialogue meaning fans will have to keeping guessing for details on the film (although there's obviously the original 1992 movie to go by).
The Aladdin reboot is set to hit cinema screens on 24th May 2019.
A first teaser of the movie was shared by Disney in October, and again it didn't give much away either.
At the time, Disney also released a poster for the flick, with Will telling his followers that he couldn't wait for them to 'see him blue'.
And thankfully after months of waiting, the new trailer finally made that happen.
"LEMME OUT!! Can't wait for y'all to see Me BLUE!" exclaimed the actor under his Instagram post of a magic lamp sat on a deep purple background.
The artwork was almost identical for that of the original movie.
