ITV's new psychological thriller Cheat is gripping the nation as it follows the twisted relationship between a university lecturer and her student.

The four-part drama follows Dr Leah Dale (Katherine Kelly) and student Rose Vaughan (Molly Windsor) as their complicated relationship leads to some very serious consequences.

While most views will recognise Katherine from Katherine from her role in Coronation Street, others have been left wondering where on earth they've seen Molly before.

Well, despite only being 21-years-old, Molly has already played a number of impressive characters, with her first major role coming in 2009 when she played Lucy Manvers in The Unloved. She was just 11-years-old when she starred in the Channel 4 programme which focused on a girl growing up in the UK care system.

In 2017 Molly also starred as Holly Winshaw in Three Girls, the harrowing series that dramatised the events around the Rochdale sex abuse scandal. Molly's portrayal of Holly in the gritty drama even led to her being nominated for the Royal Television Society's Breakthrough Award in 2018 and bagging her the prize of Best Leading Actress at the BAFTA TV Awards in 2018.

Cheat first aired on Monday 11th March, and has been running on consecutive nights with the third installment airing tonight. While in a completely different setting, the programme is reminiscent of the relationship between Killing Eve's Eve Polastri and Villanelle, as the two female characters become mutually obsessed with one another.

Molly's character Rosie slacks at university as she turns up late and pays no attention in class, despite attending the fictional uni that her dad has given a huge donation to.

This is why Dr Leah starts to question Rosie on her essay when she believes it's of a higher standard than usual.

Cheat continues at 9pm on ITV tonight.
