People say that twins have a special connection that rivals any other, and on 5STAR's new show, 23-year-old Summer and Eden are really putting this to the test.

Both keen to use this intuition and help find the other a perfect suitor, the identical duo will be attempting to pass off as one person as they put eight hopeful men through their paces on a series of dates that will air every night this week.

The show works by swapping the girls in and out of various dates and challenges while sporting the same outfit and makeup look each time. We can't think of anything that could go wrong with that...

Throughout the series, the girls will be seen assessing the boys their sister fancies to help them make an informed decision, while also looking for a match for themselves.

Plus, they'll have the small matter of making sure that none of the men clock onto their true identities. No biggie, then.

So what on earth possessed the girls to take on such a monstrous challenge as supposed to simply meeting each other's blokes around the family dinner table like they normally would?

Speaking exclusively to Pretty 52, Summer said she was drawn to the show because it was "out of [her] comfort zone" and a way to meet new people. Meanwhile Eden revealed she was interested to discover "if [they] had the same type in boys or if it was the complete opposite".

Despite looking the spitting image of each other, both girls had their reservations about whether they'd even be able to pull off the challenge without getting caught.

"To be honest I was worried," Summer said. "We're very different. It definitely shows once you get to know us."

As Eden added: "[We] don't think we look alike at all and we have completely different mannerisms and personalities. We also thought, 'what if we messed up our story?!' It was definitely hard...

"I'm a little bit more to the point and confident, where as summer is sweet and very soft. I tried my hardest to be less harsh but I don't think it worked!"

While their intentions were to help each other out, as you can imagine, dating the same people certainly has the potential to get messy, and Summer conceded there were some arguments along the way.

"We did think in the back of our minds, what if we like the same boy?," Eden said. "Which we actually did end up doing at some point...but we both agreed blood is thicker then water and no boy should ever come between two sisters.

"Don't get me wrong it's a little disappointing if the boy you like likes your sister instead!"

The first instalment of the programme shows us the moment in question. While on a speed dating challenge, one of the boys - Sam - goes down well with Eden, but then Summer also admits he's caught her eye.

"I fancy him. No this can't happen. I like him," Eden fumes, while Summer replies: "We'll have to fight for him".

Each week, the girls will eliminate one boy until there are just two men standing, who will then learn the truth about their undercover operation.

But which of the girls will put their feelings aside in the hopes their sibling finds The One? And will the boys still be interested when they learn the girls have been playing them?
