'This Morning' Viewers In Hysterics As Dog Goes To The Toilet Live On Air

'This Morning' Viewers In Hysterics As Dog Goes To The Toilet Live On Air

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are no strangers to having guests poop on the This Morning set (remember *that* Shetland pony?!), and now it's happened again live on air.

Host Phillip scrambled for the tissues on Wednesday morning as a French Bulldog had an accident on the plush grey rug.

The dogs had been left in a carrier bag and dumped at the shelter, leaving viewers heartbroken.

But it seems like the nerves of being on a chat show got the better of one of the dogs as he bobbed down on the carpet as Holly and Phil chatted to the animal shelter worker.

"We've all done it!" Phillip exclaimed as he cleared up the mess.

"Ooh, we've had a little accident!" Holly said as she stroked the dog, before echoing: "It happens sometimes when you get nervous on the telly."

Viewers took to Twitter in fits of giggles over the mishap, shocked that it had happened again.

"Oh god!!! A dog has done their business on @thismorning's carpet reminding me of the hilarious Donkey time when he did the business too [sic]," tweeted one.

While somebody else declared: "Wow, hard to believe TWO dogs needed a poo Didn't the woman walk them this morning ????"

"Live TV and animals ey!" quipped another This Morning fan.

And a final added: "#ThisMorning fully house trained."

Despite the accident on the carpet, This Morning still made an important point about dog adoption.

Plus, there's nothing a bit of toilet training can't fix!

This Morning continues on ITV on weekdays at 10.30am.
