Great British Bake Off fans you might want to pour yourself a stiff drink because we have some major news. Paul Hollywood just confirmed that this series we will be seeing a lot less of the saucy innuendos which have always been a major fan favourite on the show.
Despite giving the soggy bottom a new meaning and leaving viewers in hysterics each week the tongue-in-cheek descriptions of the contestants cookery, have been drastically cut from the new series.
The first episode of the ninth series - for which the full line up was just announced - is rumoured to be missing any innuendos at all with Paul Hollywood confirming 'they aren't the be all and end all' of the show.

Speaking about the change of tone for the series, which starts next Tuesday, Paul said: "I think innuendo is funny. I suppose it's been part of Bake Off for a few years, but it's not the be-all and end-all in Bake Off.
However, the show veteran hinted that the lack of saucy innuendos could lead to a spin off show in the future so viewers won't miss out altogether."Maybe we should do an outtakes thing after 11pm."
However, the show isn't looking to remove humour altogether with producers hoping to include more comedy sketches between hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.

The opening of the first show mocks Prue Leith's awkward Twitter blunder last series when she announced the winner before the show had been aired.

During the sketch Noel and Sandi parody Back To The Future as they wear a white coat and body warmer as they try to travel back in time to stop Prue from sending her infamous tweet.

It's no soggy bottom but at least the show is still open to making us laugh while we try to learn how to avoid a baking disaster.
