If you're one of the many fans who's been waiting with baited breath to see the next-generation cast of the Little Women movie do their thing, you're in for a treat.

The first photograph of stars Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, and Timothée Chalamet showed up on the movie's official Instagram account on Thursday.

The pictured cast of the film, which is set to premier around Christmas 2019, are as follows from left to right: Emma Watson (Meg), Greta Gerwig (director), Saoirse Ronan (Jo), Florence Pugh (Amy), Eliza Scanlen (Beth), and Timothée Chalamet (Laurie).

One fan commented: "Well, I can't wait any longer !!!!!!!"

Director Greta Gerwig, who is perhaps best known for directing coming-of-age movie Lady Bird staring Saoirse and Timothée.

Meryl Streep and Laura Dern will also star as Aunt March and Marmee March respectively but the roles actors Bob Odenkirk and Chris Cooper will play have not yet been confirmed and unfortunately they didn't make the cut for the Instagram picture.

Emma also shared the Polaroid on her Twitter account alongside a line from Little Women author Louisa May Alcott: "I could never love anyone as I love my sisters."
