Thirty years after his execution, serial killer Ted Bundy has become more talked about than ever before, thanks for Netflix's docuseries Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
But not only has it opened up the conversation, it also encouraged one of the notorious murderer's former girlfriends to speak out about him.

The 71-year-old women, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has spoken about how she would lie in bed with Bundy and watch news reports detailing the brutal murders of young women - unaware that her then-boyfriend was the man responsible.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said it feels strange to hear his name spoken so many years later.
"Who would have thought I'd be reading about Ted in the news again after all these years?" she said.
"All of a sudden I'll hear the name and it seems so weird to realise just how long ago it all was because it seems to have not gone away."

The pair lived in the same building in Utah, but the woman says she had no idea what sort of man he was.
She said: "We didn't go out because we didn't have a lot of money but he would make a nice hamburger and we would sit in his kitchen with a little TV on the table... and we would listen to the news about all of the girls that were being murdered and disappeared.
"I said to him one time, 'If a man ever approached me, I wouldn't let him touch me.'

"And he said, 'You don't have to worry about that.'"
Bundy used to approach women and bundle them into the back of his VW bug, removing the seat in order to hide the bodies.
"We would go play pool and I would sit as a passenger in his VW bug," his ex said.

"I would sit in the seat that would rock forward when he would come to a stop sign or a stop light. And I wouldn't think anything of it.
"What was interesting to me [afterwards] was that I never saw any blood. I don't know how he did it because the human body is full of blood."
In the years since Bundy's secret life was brought to light, his former lover says she has found it almost impossible to reconcile both sides of the man she once knew.
She said: "There was a girl who disappeared on Halloween night and was killed.

"On Halloween night he came to my apartment when I was asleep - my door was partially opened because the rug was preventing it from closing.
"I was in bed and he came in and said, 'I want to tell you that your door is opened and unlocked.' He woke me up. And I said, 'Oh thanks Ted,' you know.
"He did a good deed and he also killed someone that night and I didn't notice a thing."
Although she never saw or heard anything concrete, after Bundy's arrest in 1975, his ex says she knew the horrific allegations made against him were true.
He was later charged with the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch and went on to stand trial, although his relationship with the unnamed woman had long since tailed off by that point.
Bundy, who was born as Theodore Robert Bundy, eventually confessed to 30 murders throughout the 1970s, but detectives feared the true number could have been higher. He was executed on 24 January 1989.
