Strictly Come Dancing has released its first trailer and it looks amazing.

The BBC dance competition is back in a matter of weeks, and if you were worried that the series wasn't going to be as sequin-filled as normal, you can now rest easy.

The trailer shows the 2019 cohort of professional dancers in their extravagant glad rags, including Oti Mabuse, Janette Manrara, Dianne Buswell and Katya Jones donning feathers absolutely everywhere - from their gowns to their eyelashes.

Popular male dancers including Gorka Marquez, Aljaž Škorjanec and AJ Pritchard can also be seen covered from head-to-toe in glitter as they strut about for the clip.

Meanwhile, Kevin Clifton, his ex wife Karen, Graziano Di Prima, Gorka Marquez, Giovanni Pernice, Nadia Bychkova and Amy Dowden also feature, alongside newly promoted Neil Jones, who will be working with a celeb this year after being a back-up dancer since 2016.

Of course, show veteran Anton Du Beke gets his own entrance in the clip, wearing a huge gold skirt (because what else?!).

Plus, ensemble dancers Johannes Radebe and Luba Mushtuk also join the stars for their sparkly party.

Loyal Strictly fans will know that the show has recently recruited champion latin dancer Nancy Xu to join the pros, but she isn't in the trailer, so viewers will have to wait to see her in action.

While all the pros were given their time to shine in the clip, its not yet officially confirmed who will get celebrity partners this year and who will take a more background role.

Gorka Marquez recently revealed that he wouldn't be dancing with a celebrity this year, following the birth of his first child with Gemma Atkinson, while Graziano Di Prima will also be taking a step back.

The chosen pros will be dancing with a whole host of celebs including Anneka Rice, James Cracknell, Michelle Visage and Jamie Laing.

And the judging panel has been given a shape up too, due to the departure of Darcey Bussell.

Oti's sister Motsi -who is also an established professional dancer - will be taking to on a judging role in her place, joining Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli every week.

Naturally, Strictly fans went wild as the trailer launched, and signalled that the show really is returning imminently.

"OMG, terrific trailer, the pro's look amazing. Can't tell you how excited I am for Strictly ]!" one fan of the show wrote on Twitter.

While another agreed: "This is my favourite Strictly trailer ever..."

The trailer receives 10's across the board from us too!

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on September 7th.
