Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has confirmed Line of Duty's Stephen Graham for a role in his hit BBC gangster drama - but fans will have to wait until season six or seven.
Series five of the Cillian Murphy-starring show will be hitting our screens this August, and while we're super excited for the comeback of the Shelby Co., the creator has revealed some very exciting talent for the following series.
Speaking on podcast Obsessed With... Peaky Blinders by Digital Spy Editor Laurence Mozafari, Steven opened up about the actors he wants to see in the show.

"Stephen Graham," he said. "Don't worry... we're proceeding with that, but not for this series. Not Al Capone - I didn't want to go west. Because it's a minefield once you go into Chicago gangsters. I refer to him last series, but I didn't want to go into that."
It was heavily hinted at the end of season four that Thomas Shelby and his family would come face to face with infamous 1920s gangster Al Capone in season five of the Birmingham-based show, which picks up during the financial crash of 1929.
Graham, of This Is England and most recently BBC's Line of Duty and Channel 4's The Virtues, has long been a fan request to join the show. Having famously depicted the gangster in HBO series Boardwalk Empire, rumours were rife he would resume the character for Peaky.
When asked what role he wants Graham to appear in, Steven said: "I've already got it and I'm not going to tell you [laughs]!"

"The amount of people who have come to us wanting to be in it is quite astonishing, and really good people," said Steven. "So what I've tried to avoid before is turning it into a spot the celebrity - you know, because I think it's quite distracting sometimes."
He went on: "But someone like Adrien Brody is a great actor - obviously, you want to put them in it. But I think now we're coming to the final two series, I'm going to relax and open the gates a bit because there's some amazing people who want to be in it, and I think why not."
During the interview, the creator also appeared to confirm another A-lister. When asked about Julia Roberts, he said: "I don't know where that got out, but yeah, fingers crossed on that."
"I can't really do a list, sometimes not-actors want to take part," he said, referring to musicians and other celebrities hoping to make cameos in the critically-acclaimed crime drama, saying it would be "counterproductive".

Speaking at the world premiere for the fifth season in July, show-runner Steven Knight confirmed that at least two more seasons of the show will be made.
The fifth season is set for release in early August, making its move from BBC Two to BBC One.
