An adorable pug completely stole the limelight from its owner on The Voice after the pooch took to the stage and 'sang' for the coaches.

Marina Simion wowed the studio audience and viewers with her rendition of club classic 'Show Me Love' by Robin S, with Olly Murs declaring that he would "never forget this audition".

And her beloved pug, Leo, could be seen being held by a friend backstage as Marina made her debut on the show on Saturday night.

But the performance became even more special when the doggo came to join her as Olly, Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am and Tom Jones heaped on the praise.

Marina picked up Leo and put him to the microphone, and he began 'singing' into it for the studio audience.

Clapping his hands, Olly cried: "Do it again, do it again, do it again," before the dog began howling for a second time.

Marina previously explained that her pooch loved to sing with her ahead of her audition for The Voice.

She said: "He's the cutest thing in the world. I feel like he is my child and I'm super obsessed with him.

"He sings with me. Life's just great."

Leo could be seen watching backstage.

Viewers took to Twitter as the scenes aired, completely overwhelmed by the adorable singing pooch and his special bond with his owner.

"THERE WAS A PUG ON THE VOICE AND IT IS LEGIT THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY," exclaimed one happy viewer.

While another urged: "Awww put the pug through...what a voice."

"Seriously a pug wins The Voice," added another fan of the talent show.

Classically trained Marina joined Sir Tom's team for the next round of the competition, which sees the musically-gifted contestants battle it out with each other and avoid being knocked out.

The Voice continues on ITV at 8pm next Saturday.
