Simon Cowell stopping you mid-track is hardly the confidence boost you need when you're auditioning on stage in front of thousands, especially when he asks you to sing again without a backing track. But one 12-year-old America's Got Talent auditionee not only took it in her stride but absolutely bossed it.

Ansley Burns, from Easley in South Carolina, began performing Aretha Franklin's 'Faith' in front of judges Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, and Howie Mendel when Simon stopped her. "I don't think this backing track was working for you," Simon said, calling the backing track "horrible".

The head judge then asked Ansley to sing a verse and chorus acapella. Clearly a bit nervous about the idea, the preteen sipped on some water before taking to the stage once more.

Ansley then began singing again, sans backing track, and let's just say she blew the judges away!

The little one, who burst into tears when she finished singing, earned herself a thumbs up from Simon Cowell (a tough feat).

Fans of the show seemed to love Ansley's performance too, taking to Twitter to support the youngster.

"I just saw Ansley Burns on @AGT on @YouTube and she is from South Carolina. I am her biggest fan. She nailed it! Let's go Ansley," one wrote.

"Awesome job under pressure!" another remarked.

"It's amazing the Theater that is put on by experienced youngsters that are not nervous at all as in this case. At 12 years of age looking at her profile she has been around and done well," a third said.

Ansley's voice coach, wrote of his student: "I love seeing my voice students succeed! Awesome work, Ansley! You've made Coach Robert proud!"

Go, Ansley!
