The fifth season of Riverdale only just began but we can confirm there are even more tales to come. The show has been renewed by The CW for a sixth season.
New episodes from the current fifth season are available to stream on Netflix for UK fans and let's just say, viewers are already hooked.
Just like many TV shows, production on Riverdale was delayed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the first three episodes of the current season were actually meant to be filmed and aired as part of the fourth season.

Wednesday's episode, titled Chapter Eighty: Purgatorio is the first episode set after a seven-year time jump in which Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica and the gang have graduated and left Riverdale.
The rest of season 5 is set to follow the group after they return and fight to keep Riverdale High's doors open after a series of budget cuts threatens the school's existence.
It remains to be seen how the rest of season 5 pans out but we do know that Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead somehow become Riverdale High's newest teachers!

What happens in season 6 depends on the twists and turns in season 5 - which still has at least a dozen more episodes to air before it wraps.
Will there be another time jump? Will Archie and his friends still be working as teachers at Riverdale High? We have so many questions.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it's almost impossible to predict when season 6 will premiere. Apart from the very first season, every other season of Riverdale has premiered in the US in October.
The cast for season 6 has yet to be announced but we're fully expecting all the main cast members to return including KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Veronica Lodge and Cole Sprouse.
