The cast of Pitch Perfect have massively teased fans with a potential fourth movie with a not-so-subtle Instagram post.

Rebel Wilson, who played Amy in the musical comedy for the first three films, took her Instagram to share a snap of herself, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow and Chrissie Fit each holding up four fingers for the camera.

But it's more than just a reunion picture, as alongside her post, the American actress added four red heart emojis, which only added fuel to the fire.

Naturally, the Bellas sent fans into meltdown as they tried to work out whether this means a new Pitch Perfect movie is in the works.

"Omg I really really really hope this means Pitch Perfect 4!!!" exclaimed one person, with another declaring: "OMG if it means Pitch Perfect 4 guys I'm crying!"

And a third announced: "No way!!!! This is acca-awesome news."

Acca-awesome, indeed.

The image was also shared on Rebel's Twitter account, and was taken at a a joint birthday party held for Anna and her husband, Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect's Jesse Swanson).

But this picture isn't the only clue that a fourth film could be happening either.

If you look closely at the snap, you will see that Brittany has opted to dye her normally blonde locks auburn - the same colour as when she's playing Chloe in Pitch Perfect.

There's no denying she could have decide to opt for a more autumnal look now it's October, but it is still raising suspicions.

Many members of the film's cast have declared they would be open to another movie in the past, despite the fact that it seemed like it was all over after the third flick.

Nothing has yet been confirmed by the film's creators, but let's hope they aren't just teasing us here.
