One Direction's Harry Styles 'Could Be The Next James Bond'
Think of James Bond, and you'll probably think of Daniel Craig too. While the actor has become synonymous with the character nowadays, it's no secret that he isn't too fond of being in the films in real life.
He's explained that portraying the iconic character is a lot of physical strain, and there's also the added pressure of having to spend a long time away from his family.
And when he does eventually hang up that famed tux, who will step into his immaculately polished shoes instead? Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and James Norton have all been hotly-tipped as potential Bond successors, but according to The Daily Star, no one's ruling out the idea of going for someone a bit younger.
The newspaper says Spectre film editor Lee Smith is backing Harry Styles for the role, reportedly saying: "Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it."
If Harry did land the role, he would become the youngest Bond ever. Maybe he'll mix it up with some jazzy suits...
"Harry is really good and he can go all the way," he continued. "He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera.
"You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that was his first film. I didn't know who Harry was.
"Of course my daughter explained to me that you don't get any more famous than Harry Styles. But he was really good and a genuinely charismatic fellow.
"If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future."
And it's not just the actor playing Bond that's set to change, as the director is too.
Sam Mendes directed the past two Bond films but wasn't interested in making a third, saying he thinks it's time for someone else to take the helm after Spectre.
Someone that could apparently be replacing him is Christopher Nolan, and he's heavily rumoured to be the front-runner. With the Dark Knight trilogy and Inception under his belt, among many other classics, he's clearly a man who knows how to make a blockbuster, so it would definitely be a good fit.
Plus, he's worked with Harry before on Dunkirk, meaning that their professional relationship has already got some firm foundations.
Sure, we all love Daniel as James Bond, but we also know that the franchise needs shaking up a bit every once in a while, and Harry could be the perfect replacement.
