Fantasy fans have less than a month to wait until new series Cursed hits Netflix - and it may provide the other-worldly fix that Game of Thrones fans crave.
With its sword battles and Arthurian legends, the Cursed teaser trailer has been compared to GOT and Tomasz Baginski's The Witcher - and you can see why.
Opening on a bloody Medieval battle scene in dark woodland, the trailer narrates:

"They came while we slept, to rid the world of our kind. To cleanse the world of our kind.
"Cause we're different. Cause magic runs through us. Cause we have what they want."
Cutting to a shot of lead character Nimue (played by none other than Katherine Langford from 13 Reasons Why) emerging from a lake, the narration continues:
"The legend says, this sword belongs to the one true King. But what if the sword chooses a Queen?"

As you might have guessed from the teaser, Cursed offers a female-centric reimagining of the Arthurian legend.
Based on the New York Times bestselling book by Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller, the consists of 10 hour-long episodes and will launch on 17th July.
Cursed's story is told through the eyes of Nimue (Langford) a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful - and tragic - Lady of the Lake.

After her mother's death, Nimue finds an unexpected partner in Arthur (Devon Terrell), a humble mercenary, and sets off on a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword.
Along the way, Nimue becomes a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther, as she strives to save her people.
Described as "a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war", Cursed is about "finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible".
YouTubers who watched the Cursed trailer were quick to comment on its fantastical premise.
"I feel like this might be a woman version of The Witcher," commented one viewer.

"'What if the sword chooses a queen,' that gave me goosebumps," said another.
While a third said approvingly: "Cursed looks like a truly epic fantasy."
Alongside lead actors Katherine and Devon, the cast features Gustaf Skarsgård as Merlin, along with Daniel Sharman (Weeping Monk), Sebastian Armesto (King Uther Pendragon), Matt Stokoe (Gawain).

Other cast members include Lily Newmark (Pym), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Igraine), Emily Coates (Sister Iris), Billy Jenkins (Squirrel), Bella Dayne (Red Spear) and Peter Mullan (Father Carden).
The series is executive-produced by Tom Wheeler, Frank Miller and Leila Gerstein, and co-exec produced by Silenn Thomas, with Alex Boden serving as producer.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Wheeler said of the screen adaptation: "I think first and foremost when casting for Cursed, Frank and I were looking for a mythological truth, actors who could bring the emotion and the humanity to legendary characters without losing the sense of elemental magic and epic stakes.
"Led by Katherine Langford, who is equal parts classic hero and sword-swinging badass, this extraordinary cast has brought such depth, commitment, and heart to this story. We can't wait to introduce them to audiences around the world."
Cursed comes to Netflix on 17th July 2020.
