It's been a dire weekend (the news of an upcoming lockdown put quite the dampener on our Halloween plans), so it's little surprise that many of us have decided to tune in to some of Netflix's more cheerful offerings to take our minds of it.
One of the streaming platform's more ridiculous new films was the romantic comedy Holidate, which sees two perpetually single friends decide to be each other's plus one's for the holidays.
But the light-hearted film, starring Emma Roberts as Sloane and Luke Bracey as Jackson, features one scene that left fans raising their eyebrows.
It seems Holidate features another superstar actor in the shadows, with viewers convinced Ryan Gosling makes an appearance.

In one scene, Jackson accuses Sloane of being 'too afraid' to take a chance on romance, telling her: "I bet you money that if Ryan Gosling waltzed down this frozen food aisle and offered to take you on the ride of your life, you would still say no - because you'd be too afraid to get on that train: the Ryan Gosling train."
To which an angry Sloane shoots back: "You are so wrong. Ryan Gosling would never do his own shopping; he's way too cool for that."
It's at this moment that fans are convinced The Notebook star is stood in the background checking out the freeze aisle - and took to Twitter to point out the rogue Gosling.

When approached by Tyla, Netflix declined to comment on whether this mysterious man was actually Ryan Gosling, who has not been credited in the film.

However, that does not mean it's not Gosling in the background.
The 39-year-old is no stranger to the odd romantic movie, having starred in 2011 hit Crazy Stupid Love and 2016 favourite La La Land - both alongside Emma Stone.
He is expected to star in the upcoming Netflix film The Gray Man, which is set to be the most expensive Netflix has made with a budget of $200 million (£158.2m).
