'Married At First Sight' Viewers Think Couples Were Mixed Up

Fans have a theory as to why the series - and their marriages - went so terribly wrong.

Married At First Sight came to a pretty unsatisfying ending on Wednesday night, when both couples decided to call quits on their marriages, leaving the show with a zero per cent success rate.

However, fans think they've cracked the code on why Stephanie and Jonathan and Jack and Verity ended up calling time on their relationship, rather than opting to give their new found marriages a go.

Stephanie, 28, and Jonathan, 39, didn't even make it through to D-day before they went their separate ways, thanks to Jonathan slipping the annulment papers in a Christmas card. Jack and Verity had initially decided to give their marriage a chance after the three month period was up, but sadly they split just a few weeks afterwards.

"She is such an amazing girl, but we didn't have that connection," Jack said, explaining his decision. "I hope we're still friends but I just don't know if she would want to be."

While many viewers shared their heartache for Verity, others came up with a fairly logical explanation on why neither marriages resulted in success. Lots of viewers flocked to Twitter to suggest there had been a bit of a mix up on the paperwork when it came to matching the couples.

Can someone pitch this to Channel 4, because it sure would make an interesting follow up series...
