We love a good trailer to get us excited about an upcoming movie, so the fact that Netflix has released not one but two first-look trailers for its upcoming Marriage Story is music to our ears.

Starring Scarlett Johansson and Girls' star Adam Driver as a couple going through a heart-breaking divorce, the two trailers, What I Love About Nicole and What I Love About Charlie, tell two sides of the story by offering mirror perspectives on the relationship narrated by one side of the couple.

And needless to say, both clips absolutely broke our hearts.

In the first trailer, Nicole - played by Scarlett - lists what she loves about her husband Charlie (Adam Driver): "He loves being a dad; it's almost annoying how much he likes it. He cries easily at movies. He's very competitive. He's very clear about what he wants. He's a great dresser, he never looks embarrassing. He rarely gets defeated, which I feel like I always do."

It's Charlie's turn in the second clip, and he says that he loves Nicole because: "She's a great dancer - infectious. She is a mother who plays, really plays. She gives great presents. She's competitive. She knows when to push me, and when to leave me alone."

Scored to the heart-wrenching "I've Been Loving You Too Long" by Otis Redding, both trailers close on the same dour note - the couple sitting in a court room during their divorce hearing, which then switches to scenes of a tough conversation between the two. "I think we should talk," says Nicole to Charlie, who replies "I don't know how to start."

Marriage Story is the brainchild of Noah Baumbach, who said of the dual trailers: "Marriage Story is a love story that reveals itself within the breakdown. With these companion trailers I wanted to show the relationship through the eyes of both characters. There are many sides to every story, and the movie embraces these different viewpoints in order to find the shared truth."

Laura Dern, Alan Alda and Ray Liotta also star in the movie which will premiere at Venice Film Festival on August 29th. Rumour has it will hit Netflix this autumn, so hopefully there won't be too long to wait!
