She let her feelings for him known in a brutal double dumping with BFF Maura Higgins during one explosive episode of Love Island, but if our Instagram stalking skills are up to scratch, it looks like things could be back on for Lucie Donlan and George Rains.

The couple have been flirting up a storm on social media lately following a number of joint public appearances, the most recent of which happened just two days ago.

Uploading a selection of loved-up snaps of the pair to his account, George captioned his post: "Had such a laugh at @thelunacinema the other day. It's like bringing a pair of toddlers out when we're together! @lucierosedonlan," to which the 21-year-old surfer replied: "you my fave child to hang with."

The 22-year-old builder has also made his appreciation of Lucie very clear with his comments on her sexy snaps, writing "Booty" under one Instagram picture of Lucie in a skintight thong bikini.

He also penned "Absolute [fire emojis]" on a super-hot swimwear snap and left a single red heard under another.

If we needed any further clarification, George's modelling agency FOMO Models left a pretty telling comment on one of his posts depicting the duo's day out, calling them a "cute couple."

It's not just us who are totally behind this recoupling either - #Georgie fans have been making their approval of the couple clear, with one posting: "Lucie + George > Lucie + Joe like if u agree" and another saying: "I find you two so cute ahhh."

Lucy and George got close during their stint in Casa Amor, and the 21-year-old surfer chose to bring her beau back to the main villa over her second love interest Stevie Bradley.

However, she eventually decided it was boxer Tommy Fury who had her heart and brutally canned her male doppelgänger in a double-dumping with BFF Maura, who ended things with footballer Marvin Brooks at the same time.

George was slammed for being 'boring' during his time in the villa, seemingly unable to talk about anything other than his favourite snacks. To be fair, prawn cocktail crisps are underrated. It looks like Lucie has decided to give him another chance though, so let's hope he's been working on his chirpsing techniques.

We're sure news of the most recent recoupling will come as a shock to Lucie's ex Joe Garratt who recently told The Sun Online that the pair secretly gave their romance another go after leaving the villa, but sadly their second shot of love just didn't work out.

Let's hope it's second time lucky for George.
