Love Island's latest love triangle between Curtis Pritchard, Francesca Allen and Maura finally came to a crescendo on last night's instalment as the ballroom dancer ended things with Essex beauty Fran.

Although Curtis ended any potential romance with Francesca, viewers have praised her for her handling of the situation following their "little chinwag" in the garden.

As Curtis, 23, delivered the news that he was cracking on once and for all with Maura, 28, Francesca remained dignified despite being "pied off".

Francesca said after he told her how he felt about the Irish grid girl: "It's fine, how could you not like Maura? She's beautiful. She just oozes sex appeal."

While an awkward Curtis said how he wanted to remain friends, Francesca calmed his nerves as she shared: "It's fine I can handle it. I'm a big girl" before hugging him.

After the ballroom dancer admitted that he was growing closer with the ring girl, fans saw Francesca in the Beach Hut dealing with the situation like an absolute boss.

She revealed: "I'm obviously not feeling amazing. Kind of had a feeling so that's what makes it not feel as bad I guess. It's not nice when someone tells you that they don't like you when you like them.

"I don't regret choosing Curtis at all because I like him. Oh I said I like him still."

Speaking to Tommy Fury following the conversation, she said: "What can I do? It's just like... literally nothing.

"It's fine, I'm not going to stress about it. If somebody doesn't like you what do you do? There's nothing you can do."

And while she no doubt felt down following the chat, Francesca won over viewers as she handled the situation with maturity.

One viewer penned: "She's been part of a collective that's done it to every new girl that's come in; Maura, Joanna, Francesca. Look how Francesca handled the Curtis 'chat' last night, with dignity & grace. THAT is a strong woman."

"francesca: seems really nice and respectful, handled the situation with curtis well, has been nice towards maura (wish i could say the same with maura but nope)," another shared.

A third wrote: "Happy Curtis has finally made up his mind and has decided to get to know Maura but as much as I like Maura, I'm finding it hard to support them as a couple because of the way Curtis treated Amy I feel bad for Francesca too because she does seem like a decent person."

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
