‘Love Island’ Fans Think That Molly-Mae Hague Isn’t Really Into Tommy Fury And Say It Ain’t So

With less than two weeks to go until Love Island disappears from our screens for another year (*sob*), we're starting to wonder if there's something in the water in that villa this year.

Sure, Maura might have finally got her man and things are going from stength-to-strength with Anna and Jordan, but the number of exclusive couples in the villa is seriously lacking.

There is one exception though: Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

When the 20-year-old boxer asked Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend last week, it was the cutest mock-proposal we've seen since Scott Thomas popped the question to Kady McDermott by spelling out 'Be My GF' in towels in season two.

But eagle-eyed viewers think they've spotted signs that the 19-year-old influencer might not be as into the relationship as her better half and our hearts can't handle it.

SAY IT AIN'T SO!

Suspicions were raised straight after the pair became exclusive, when Tommy finally admitted he believes he's in love with Molly-Mae.

"How long do you reckon it'll take to fall in love? Do you think you're already falling?" he asked, adding: "I do genuinely feel like I love you."

But rather than give Tommy a straight answer, Molly dodged the question by replying: "Really? You just gave me goosebumps when you said that."

Undeterred, Tommy continued: "Honestly, these feelings that I have now I've not had before, ever, and I'd do anything for you."

Appearing to placate Tommy, Molly responded: "Everything is so good at the moment, I feel like I want to save it [saying I love you] for a rainy day."

And if the holy grail of Twitter is anything to go by, fans ain't happy.

"That Molly Mae one is as fake as F#*% Wake up Tommy lad. Lucy was the girl for you," tweeted one suspicious fan.

While another said: "Do you remember when Molly Mae did that mahoosive fake cry when Tommy stayed true to her. Look at her real cry when Amy is going? Know the difference...she's fake as fu*k and don't really like Tommy."

Other viewers have noticed that while Molly-Mae might put on a cheery façade, when it comes to showing her emotions, Tommy's emotions are far more tear-jerking... which is a fair point TBH as there's never a dry eye in our house.

"Hmm I got more of a tear to my eye than Molly Mae did, bit of a fake reaction? They were my favourite but starting to think it's a bit fake now," posted one girl.

Others have come to her defence however, with one fan tweeting: "Why are some people doubting Molly Mae's feelings for Tommy? She's a slow burner and young - doesn't show her emotion as greatly as Tommy who wears her heart on his sleeve. Only little bits. You can't fake it - she's 100% real."

Over on Facebook the debate is going strong too, with one comment on our 'Love Island Drama' Facebook page racking up 70 comments so far since yesterday. "Did anyone else notice Molly-Mae's cringe face after kissing Tommy last night??" read the post, to which one follower replied: "Yes, was very obvious."

Another added: "TBH I don't think Tommy and Molly have that much sexual chemistry compared to Anna and Jordan. I mean for someone who's in a new relationship I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off my fella. Still can't after 14 years."

However if social media rankings are anything to go by, then Molly-Mae's popularity might not be as dire as we think, as the influencer has just become the first ever Islander to break the 2 million follower barrier on Instagram while still in the villa.

What's more, in its most recent poll, Skybet placed Tommy and Molly-Mae as favourites to win the show, with their odds at 1/5.

For the sake of our sweet Tommy's heart, we hope the critics are wrong and there's a beautiful future with marriage and lots of babies on the cards. She did choose to 'marry' him in a game of 'Snog, Marry or Pie?' after all.

And it not? Well we'll happily take him off Molly's hands.
