Kaley Cuoco Left Heartbroken Over Big Bang Theory Ending

Big Bang Theory fans were left devastated earlier this week when it was revealed that the show would finish after series 12, and it turns out Kaley Cuoco is equally as heartbroken.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Penny in the sitcom, took to Instagram to share with fans her heartache for the loss of the show.

She said: "This ride has been a dream come true and as life changing as it gets. No matter when it was going to end, my heart would have always been broken in two. Drowning in tears, we promise to bring you the best season yet."

Along with a cute group shot of the cast, she added: "To the fans, our crew, families, Chuck Lorre, Warner Brothers, CBS, and everyone who has supported us for so many years, thank you. We are goin out with a bang @bigbangtheory_cbs."

Kaley isn't alone in her devastation, with one fan tweeting: "Can someone please sing Soft Kitty to me? #BigBangTheory."

Another added: "52 Emmy nominations and 10 wins. #BigBangTheory was always on point the whole 11 years worthwhile I will miss the show."

While most people were gutted with the news, others agreed that it was the right time for the programme to come to an end.

One person tweeted: "Once again something dies that I thought had been dead for years."

"Really long overdue, tbh," another commented.

Kaley and her co-stars, Johnny Galecki who plays Leonard, Jim Parsons as Sheldon, Simon Helberg as Howard, and Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh, have all starred in the CBS sitcom since it first aired back in 2007.

The last episodes are set to air in May 2019, taking the series to television history with a record-breaking 279 episodes in 12 years.

Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions all released a joint statement earlier this week promising to bring an 'epic' conclusion to the long-running show.

It read: "We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theoryduring the past 12 seasons.

"We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close."
