Holly Willoughby hit back at anyone doubting she was the wrong choice to replace host Ant McPartlin on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on Monday with a hilarious on-screen gag.

As the This Morning presenter made her debut alongside Declan Donnelly on Sunday, viewers watching at home were divided over ITV's choice of replacement host.

However, Holly was unfazed by her harsh critics and instead proved herself to be the perfect stand-in presenter by hilariously introducing the show as if she was on This Morning.

"What's in store for us this morning, Holly?" Dec questioned.

"Thank you, Dec," Holy replied. "Coming up in around 15 minutes, Emily Atack is here to answer the question, 'How can I conquer my fear of snakes?' in today's Bushtucker Trial."

Joining in on the fun, Dec continued: "After that, there's news from our royal correspondent Harry Redknapp. He's been chatting to several members of the Windsor family. I'm looking forward to that."

And Holly rounded up: "And I'll be meeting a man who saves hundreds of pounds a year by wearing children's clothes."

"Stop, stop, stop. That was a private conversation," joked the Geordie TV personality.

Viewers watching at home lapped up the This Morning gag, taking to Twitter to praise Holly for taking the criticisms on her chin.

"Tonight we heard the This Morning theme tune and The Chase music. It's only the 2nd night in and this show has me even more hysterics, can't get enough of it," exclaimed one person.

And another echoed: "Loving the 'This Morning' bit parody on #imaceleb."

"Last night they made reference to The Chase and tonight it's This Morning @ITV must be screaming with laughter," shared a third tickled fan.

Somebody else mocked: "The This Morning tune made me laugh omg!"

I'm A Celeb continues at 9pm on ITV tonight.
