Are you still tearing up after watching the Friends reunion yesterday? We are.

The emotional two hour TV special celebrating the beloved sitcom finally dropped on Thursday after years of anticipation - seeing the cast and some extra famous faces reminisce about their time in Central Perk.

And while the reunion revealed some previous secrets that even the biggest fans didn't know about, Ben Shephard had his own bombshell to drop about Friends on Good Morning Britain.

The 46-year-old presenter revealed he was once an extra in the series, and was invited to star in the show by Friends creator Marta Kauffman in 2002.

You can watch the clip here:

Looking fresh-faced and very early noughties with spiked up hair, Ben explained to his co-presenters Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins that he was offered the role after he was chatting to Marta.

The throwback clip saw a visibly excited Ben turn over his shoulder to his team to check if that was okay.

Ben's cameo appearance saw him play a journalist on the red carpet, quizzing Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) at his film premiere.

And while Ben is clearly very proud of his time on one of the world's biggest shows, Kate couldn't help but gently rib him.

"I like the way you glance over your shoulder for verification," she laughed.

Ben Shephard is no stranger to a movie star cameo, having also briefly appeared in a Harry Potter film.

Other revelations from the Friends reunion included the fact that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, who played Ross and Rachel, secretly had crushes on each other during the first season.

Spilling the tea to James Corden, who hosted the special, David explained. "At some point we were both crushing hard on each other.

"But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary and we both respected that."

No wonder Ross and Rachel's chemistry was always so believable!
