Harry Redknapp's Bushtucker Trial on Sunday's I'm A Celebrity left viewers grimacing, after a bug burrowed into his ear.

The football boss was locked into an underground chamber, which was filled up with a mixture of swampy water, thousands of creepy crawlies and Harry's worst nightmare - rats.

But while Harry managed to keep his cool with the rats and lasted the entire five minutes in the final Bushtucker Trial, a bug managed to scuttle its way into his ear.

Harry was convinced he'd managed to get the nasty cockroach out of his ear, but upon closer inspection jungle medic Bob realised it was still in there.

Medic Bob pulled the critter out with a pair of tweezers, leaving viewers at home grimacing over the stomach churning scenes.

Viewers praised the football manager for remaining so cool on Twitter.

"Harry calmly having a critter removed from his ear?! I'd be screaming my head off," exclaimed one user.

And somebody else declared: "Harry calmly saying "well done Bob" after getting the bug out of his ear... I'd be in full meltdown mode doing some Kung fu sh*t on the little critter."

"Harry saying to Medic Bob not to worry when he had an insect in his ear is just too precious. The man is too pure for this world," tweeted a third.

Other users aired their concerns over the safety of the contestant, calling for safety to be upped.

"Why the f*ck haven't they give Harry ear plugs then? Dangerous tbh," questioned another viewer of the show.

"Why dont they give the celebs ear plugs when they are doing a trial involving insects crawling over their heads??" added another.

Harry wasn't the only finalist facing creepy crawlies in the final Bushtucker Trial, as co-star Emily Atack's head was submerged into a tank full of bugs.

More critters were added to the tank minute after minute, and Emily was also worried they might try and climb into her ears, too.

Thankfully, she manged to escape unscathed.
