'Love Island': People Call For Curtis Pritchard To Become A Barista Thanks To His Brutal Coffee Line

Did the ballroom dancer just use the worst excuse in the history of the show to pie off Amy Hart?

Last night's 'Love Island' was seriously entertaining: we saw Amber Gill and Joanna Chimonides facing off and Anna Vakili considering rekindling things with Jordan Hames. But one of the most brutal moments of the show was Amy saying she wanted cuddles in the morning, only for Curtis to reply with the excuse that he would rather get up and make everyone a coffee. WOW.

The line came after an awkward conversation in which Amy had pre-prepared talking points on her phone to confront Curtis about his behaviour while she was in Casa Amor.

After she said she'd like to wake up to a cuddle in the morning, Curtis delivered a brutal blow, saying: "I know and I also want to be the person that gets up and makes everyone a coffee so everyone's ready for the morning".

Fans of the show couldn't believe his excuse, taking to Twitter to express their disbelief.

One wrote: "Amy really looked my man in the eyes and asked him why he no cuddle in the morning and man basically said he starts his shift at costa coffee at 7am", while another Photoshopped Curtis's face onto a picture of a barista, and wrote: "Sorry! Can't cuddle right now, got a whole load of coffees to make..."

Others expressed concerns that Curtis had been playing a game all along.

One fan tweeted: "Curtis 100% used Amy. He thought: get partnered up straight away cause the day-one couples have a better chance of winning, strung her along, and then found out they weren't in the top 3 favourite couples, and decided to abort. Game-plan failed. And that's the truth."

The preview for tonight's show shows Maura saying she fancies Curtis, calling him "manly" and saying she wants him to teach her how to dance. Considering Curtis slid into her DMs just a few months ago, it will be interesting to see where this goes.

'Love Island' continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
