WATCH: EastEnders Fans Spot Tag On Baby Says 'Smith' Instead Of 'Branning'
It has all been kicking off on EastEnders lately and last night we saw Max Branning have to deal with the horror of finally allowing doctors to turn off his daughter's life support. However, among all the drama, fans noticed a glaring mistake.
In the episode, Max destroyed a cot before hearing some helpful advice and deciding to go and visit Abi's newborn baby in hospital, however when the camera panned over the baby, viewers spotted the huge mistake.
Take a look here...
The baby tag which was placed around the newborn ankle to identify the child had the surname 'Smith' written on it, dear oh dear.
Obviously anyone who watches the soap would know that the surname should be Branning, or failing that even the name of the baby's deceased father, Beale.
The gaffe must have slipped by show bosses, however the good old viewers were there ready to point out the blunder on social media.
Why did Abbie's baby have Smith on the name tag? :joy:#Eastenders

This comes after fans of the show questioned what on earth happened to Abi and Lauren Branning's mum Tanya, who hasn't been seen since the day of the accident.
Thanks to one of the soap's screenwriters we now finally have some answers as to where Tanya disappeared to, and why she hasn't been seen since the night which saw Abi and Lauren Branning fall from the treacherous roof.
One viewer took to Twitter to ask scriptwriter Matthew Barry: "Any sign of Tanya in these episodes? After all she's only Abi's mother so not important at all #EastEnders#fail."
Matthew then responded with: "Unfortunately the actress can't be in two places at once. That being said, keep watching..."
