The New Series Of 'Celebrity Hunted' Line-Up Has Been Revealed And It Looks So Good

The premise of Hunted - the reality TV show where ordinary people go on the run attempting to evade former and serving police, intelligence personnel, and on-foot teams - is the stuff of genius. And if you haven't seen it, let us tell you the celebrity version is even better.

Now, list of famous fugitives has been revealed - and it's quite the line-up.

Held as part of Stand Up To Cancer, Celebrity Hunted sees a host of stars team up in pairs to evade the country's top spies and stop themselves from being 'hunted'.

Past cohorts include sports stars, TV presenters and reality TV stars (who can forget the the ever-funny Chris and Kem from Love Island, who took part last year?), and now we have a taste of the teams taking on the challenge this year.

The Only Way Is Essex stars Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lydia Bright, who both revealed they are expecting their first children, with due dates mere weeks apart, will be teaming up to try and outwit the nation's top intelligence.

Hot on their heels are rugby players Martin Offiah and Gavin Henson and celebrity chefs Aldo Zilli and Jean-Christophe Novelli who will also be trying their luck.

Finally, and continuing the reality TV theme, is Stanley Johnson and Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, who became good friends on met on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

All eight celebs will be tasked with attempting to evade capture for 14 days (down from 25 days for the civilian version) - a tough feat considering their high profiles.

The challenge begins when the contestants are taken to a public area where they give up their phones and are given a rucksack with some essentials in it and a debit card with a small amount of money. They are then given a head start.

Shortly after, former police and intelligence official - known as the Hunters - are given their names and begin their search to track them down.

While on the run, fugitives are able to use any existing connections they have, be it friends or family, or ask members of the public for help.

The latter is always risky business for celebrities on the run, who can easily have their faces snapped by fans and posted on social media, and their position compromised, something the Hunters encourage.

Members of the public can even contact the Hunters directly with information, and if it leads to their capture, they will be compensated. The on-foot teams even visit the fugitives homes and attempt to interrogate family members and loved ones into their whereabouts.

This years celebs are used to being in the spotlight, so we wonder how they've fare going undercover with the country's top spies on their case? We can't wait to see.

It's not yet been announced when Celebrity Hunted hits our screens, but it'll be some time this autumn. Celebrity Gogglebox, Celebrity First Dates and The Last Leg are other shows that will be being aired as part of Stand Up To Cancer, the annual TV initiative which raised money for cancer charities.
