We've seen some glow-ups in our time but this one is insane.

Reality TV fans, get ready for a major throwback, because one of the Love Island Australia contestants is someone you're likely to have seen before - though you'd be forgiven for not recognising him.

That islander is namely John James Parton, who previously appeared on the eleventh series of Big Brother way back in 2010.

We've seen a lot of glow-ups in our time but we have to admit that this one made us do a double take.

Back in the twenty-tens, the reality star sported a bleached sweeping side fringe, diamante earrings, boho beads and some questionable stone wash denim.

Now, the 34-year-old - who these days works as a DJ in Melbourne, Australia - is barely recognisable, sporting a new hair do, tats and a glowing tan, along with a chiselled bod that any PT would be proud of.

Those looks have won the club DJ some modelling work on the side of his career in music, too.

John James first rose to fame after entering the Big Brother house at the end of the noughties, where he fell for fellow contestant Josie Gibson.

The couple had a whirlwind nine-month relationship, which was documented in a spin-off TV show called There's Something About Josie.

In 2011, the pair went their separate ways, after Josie accused John James of cheating, which he denied.

Since then, John James has relocated to Down Under, and is now back on our screens in the 2018 edition of Australia's Love Island, which kicked off earlier this week and is airing every night on ITV2 at 9pm.

In his promo tape, the hunky contestant says, "In my past I've dated school teachers, promo models, strippers" and claims he's never been rejected by a love interest.

Hmm. Not the shy and retiring kind then, eh, John James?
