Like we needed any more reasons to love Britain's Got Talent winner Colin Thackery, he's just proven he's got a heart of gold by revealing he's giving some of his £250,000 prize money to the Royal Chelsea Hospital.

During an appearance on This Morning, the war veteran explained that he'd be putting a share of the winner's cash towards the hospital where he lives in accommodation with other veterans.

"Well first of all the hospital, because we are a charity and we are always collecting for something," said Colin when asked what he plans to do with it.

"We've got a new centre that we've been wanting to build, a visitors centre, activity centre. I'd love to think that I set the whole thing off."

He added: "And of course I've got family. I've got grandchildren wanting to get on the property ladder and all that sort of thing and of course A-Levels and all that."

What a gem.

On Sunday night, Colin was named the winner of the 2019 series, beating out magician X in the live final.

As the stages moved on, Colin won legions of fans for his emotional ballads, which he performed with his backing vocals, the Chelsea Pensioners, who he lives with at the hospital with.

One notable turn on the stage came in the semi-finals, when Colin and the Chelsea Pensions sang 'We'll Meet Again' by Vera Lynn, as a tribute to their sweethearts.

There wasn't a dry eye in the room. Seriously, it'll get ya.

Colin even became a 'national treasure' according to fans who couldn't seem to get enough of him, and we honestly get it.

Congrats, Colin!
