Sex and the City fans, brace yourself. The first official look at the spin-off series And Just Like That has officially dropped, and it features Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in character and we're so excited.

The show is will follow Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they tackle their lives in their 50s.

After lots of speculation, the reboot of the cult classic series was confirmed by SJP after she posted a clip of the news on her Instagram account.

The video revealed the new series will be called And Just Like Thatt, which is a nod to how Carrie would start or end many of her stories.

It was later confirmed that OG cast member Kim Cattrall won't be involved, leading to many fans threatening to boycott the project.

The series will debut on HBO Max later this year. We're not sure of the date yet, or how UK viewers will be able to watch it, but we are certain that HBO won't leave the show's adoring UK audience hanging.

Filming started in May 2021 and there'll be 10 half-hour episodes to binge. Insider noted that "rather than a new season of the original series, the reboot is being described as a 'new chapter' entirely."

John Corbett has also confirmed his character, Aiden Shaw, will be back. Furniture designer Aidan is also known as Carrie's "one that got away" which leads to lots of questions about how his and Carrie's relationship will unfold in the present day.

Speaking to Page Six, the actor revealed: "I'm going to do the show" and said his return is "very exciting".

When pressed to spill how many episodes he'll star in, John teased: "I think I might be in quite a few."

But sadly, it looks like Carrie's husband Mr Big, played by Chris North, won't be in the new series.
