A new Netflix docuseries is here to give you your next fix of true crime.
Killer Ratings, which lands later this month, will explore the chilling tale tale of a Brazilian TV host who allegedly ordered murders in an attempt to boost his show's ratings in a case that even the director admits is stranger than fiction.
Wallace Souza was a TV host turned politician who was beloved by his audience in Brazil before being accused of arranging murders for his TV crime series.
Deadline reports that Netflix has ordered the production of the series from British producers Caravan and Quicksilver.
Souza was the host of Canal Livre, a hugely popular (albeit controversial) news programme broadcast in Manaus, Brazil.

His show was a hit and helped boost his political career, but Souza was later accused of ordering the murders he covered on the show in a bid to ensure that he got to the crime scenes first.
Souza was subsequently charged with murder, drug trafficking, intimidation of witnesses, the illegal carrying of arms and the formation of a criminal group in 2009.
However, victims' families were robbed of closure when Souza died of a heart attack while awaiting trial.
Killer Ratings is directed by Daniel Bogado, best known for The Hunt For Boko Haram.

The creators and researchers have delved deep into the case for the series which includes interviews with everyone including those working at Canal Livre, close friends and famiy, and police on the case.
It will also include never-before-seen footage of Souza over the course of seven episodes.
Daniel Bogada told Deadline: "What I thought I knew about Wallace Souza when I set out, turned out only to be the starting point of this extraordinary story.

"When I looked deeper, I saw the events that followed were full of the most jaw-dropping turns, twists and shocks which would be deemed too outlandish in a Hollywood script."
Killer Ratings will drop in full on Friday, 31st May, just in time for a weekend binge.
