Far beyond just its incredible films, Disney is known for its immersive storytelling, with attractions over the globe from theme parks to resorts and museums.

Those looking for adventure on the high seas can even board one of the ships on Disney's Cruise Line - which has just announced a new addition to its ever-growing fleet.

Today (27th August) at D23 Expo 2019, the company's biannual conference, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek unveiled the name of the first new ship to join the line-up: named the 'Disney Wish'.

The Wish is the first ship named out of three being added in 2021, 2022 and 2023, joining the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy.

Chapek announced the ship would be delivered in 2021 and will set sail in 2022.

Themed on Rapunzel, the long-haired Disney princess will grace the ship's stern, representing her "wish to see the world."

Fans also got a look at some concept art of the ship's three-story atrium, featuring an enchanted staircase, decorative carpeting and an enormous light hanging in the centre.

Looks pretty magical, doesn't it?

"It was Walt's vision for our theme parks to be places where Disney stories come to life in amazing ways, and with the world's most creative and talented team of artists and dreamers, there's no shortage of inspiration," Chapek said.

Other attractions announced its second port of call: Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

Acquired by Disney Cruise Line earlier this year, the company called the new port "a signature island experience that the company says celebrates nature and the spirit and culture of The Bahamas."

The cruise line's current port of call is Disney Castaway Cay, a private island also in the Caribbean archipelago, which is made up of luxury accommodation, Disney-run excursions and miles of white sand beaches.

We don't care if we're turning 26 this year, we NEED to go to this.
