Casual visitors to Disneyland or Disney World parks might just see it all as fun and games - a nice, fun day out where you eat candyfloss and get to go on a fair few rides if you're lucky.

None of us would really expect to get to go on everything in one day, as queues can run up to a few hours at peak times, making that impossible.

But true Disney obsessives don't see it that way - far from it. Every visit to Disneyland or Disney World parks becomes a competition with fellow fans to get the absolute most out of the parks, and couple Shane Lindsay and Kristina Hawkins are no exception.

Shane, 45, and Kristina, 31, from Orlando Florida, explored the four Disney World Orlando parks in one day - which most of us wouldn't even try to attempt.

Not only that, but they managed to ride every single ride in the parks in one epic 18-hour stretch...without any fast passes. Shane, who runs the Disney-obsessive website Parkeology where people go deep on Disney challenges and stories, wrote on the website about his plans to go "oxygen-free".

Oxygen-free means to go on all of the rides in one day without the use of fast passes, which are a way to skip the queues. Shane and Kristina started their day at 8am and didn't finish until 2am, when the park finally closed.

The couple had previously completed the challenge in 17 hours but with the use of fastpasses, so going without was a big leap. He wrote on Parkeology that "there will be no early FastPass reservations. No app pickups. No Tap-Grab-Modify. No conversions for inclement weather. If not for the Twitter rule, we wouldn't even need our phones."

He compared the challenge to climbing Everest without oxygen, saying: "One day, every ride. Or freeze to death on the snowy slopes of the Parkeology Challenge, gasping for air that isn't there."

The couple completed the challenge, posting photos of themselves on every single ride for proof. Shane shared tips on Parkeology about how to go about completing the challenge, such as not completing each park at once or getting there before the parks officially open. Ted Tamburo, who also runs their website, explained: "Disney will often unofficially open parks even earlier than stated times."

If you fancy attempting Shane's challenge, tips are over at Parkeology.
