Love Island's Zara McDermott has broken her silence on Instagram after it was revealed she and Adam Collard had split.
Taking to the picture sharing site, she told her followers: "I am heartbroken to announce that Adam and I have parted ways. I love him very much and will always have a special place in my heart for him and our time spent together. I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work."
She continued: "Sometimes in life, you just aren't enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be. For everyone asking if I'm okay, I don't know that I am. But I know that soon I will be. I will be strong enough and prove to myself that I can get through this."

This comes after The Sun revealed Zara and Adam had parted ways following a series of rows about Adam's partying antics, just weeks before they're due to jet off for a romantic break to the Maldives.
While Adam is yet to comment on the split, the pair have both unfollowed each other on social media, leaving Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham the only remaining couple from the 2018 series.
Zara and Adam reportedly began falling out after Adam was spotted partying with Instagram star Brittany Archer, along with Love Island co-stars Jack Fincham and Sam Bird.
It has been a rough couple of weeks for the Love Island 2018 stars after Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson announced their split just three weeks ago.

Megan revealed their split in a humorous Gwyneth Paltrow-style Instagram post focused on their pet hamster.
Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel also went their separate ways last month, sharing the news in an emotional Instagram post that said "sometimes things don't go the way you planned, but you have to be grateful for the journey."
