While attending the Venom premiere, Tom Hardy became best friends with the security dog, and the canine looks as starstruck as we would be.

The only thing better than Tom Hardy is Tom Hardy with a dog, and this adorable picture has just made our hearts melt.

The Peaky Blinders actor was attending the premiere of his latest film, Venom, in Los Angeles and seemed to be having a great time with his co-stars.

However, the real star of the show was the security dog at the end of the red carpet, who Tom fell in love with.

The dog looked completely starstruck by Tom - we would have the same look in our eyes if Tom Hardy actually touched our hand.

Tom Hardy fans will know that he is a huge dog lover. His Labrador-cross Woody passed away last year, after appearing with him at plenty of film premieres.

In January, Tom helped re-home a group of puppies that were abandoned in a box at Victoria Park in East London.

The actor shared a photo of the four Staffordshire Bull Terriers after they'd been recovered by Battersea Dogs Home, reaching out to his followers to help.

Posting a photo of the pups on Instagram, he said: "New Staffies found and brought to Battersea this am in a box found in park. Look at them. I want to house them all 8 weeks old. Go see them xxx."

Battersea Dogs Home seemed grateful for the celebrity endorsement from the star, and the puppies quickly found homes.

"We had a lot of people contacting us and there is a waiting list," said a spokesperson. "It is a really nice position to be in."

Intake manager Steve Craddock said the abandoned dogs - which were named after famous suffragettes - could have easily gone down with hypothermia or dehydration, but that they'd had a lucky escape.
