Dream job alert: the Queen is hiring someone to look after her social media accounts at Buckingham Palace, and will pay the lucky candidate up to £30,000.

The Digital Communications Officer is required to maintain The Queen's presence in the public eye and on the world stage through her social media channels.

So, if you're social media savvy fancy tweeting on behalf of Her Majesty or curating snaps her stories with the perfect filters, this role - which is based in Buckingham Palace at 37.5 hours a week - could be for you.

"The role of Royal Communications is to engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family," states the new job role. "Joining this fast paced and dynamic team, your challenge will be to manage and oversee the daily news flow on digital and social networking platforms, as well as play a key part in some of the digital projects."

The listing goes on to explain that you'll be working as part of a small team, creating content for Queen Elizabeth II's social networking and digital platforms, including on her new website, as well as researching and writing feature articles.

You'll also get to cover all of the Queen's royal duties, 'gramming her state visits, award ceremonies and royal engagements.

The job description adds: "The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward."

As for the perfect candidate, Her Majesty wants someone educated to degree level, who has "previous experience of managing websites and delivering successful digital communications and projects" in a high profile environment.

You'll be confident using content management systems, social media platform and analytics tools, having plenty of experience in creating and publishing digital and social media content.

The Queen needs a candidate who is innovative and creative, and has "accurate and compelling written and editorial skills" and is good at photography - added brownie points if you have video production skills.
