Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams play sisters on Game of Thrones and are thick as thieves in real life, too, meaning Sophie had BFF rights to make jokes about her friend's debut sex scene in the show - and she certainly didn't hold back.

Thrones fans were left with their jaws on the floor after watching the second episode of the show's final season which saw Maisie's character, Arya Stark, get down and dirty with Gendry, played by Joe Dempsie.

One viewer who seemed to be revelling in the scene more than any was Sophie, who took to Instagram to tease her friend.

Speaking to her 10.4 million followers, while wearing a white dressing gown and sipping on a glass of red wine, Sophie made a rather NSFW joke - and it was hilarious.

"In honour of Easter, I guess Game Of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop, hop, hopping into that p***y. And that's the tea," Sophie joked, while tagging her friend Maisie.

Fans of the HBO show loved Sophie's hilarious video, with one tweeting: "The video of Sophie Turner talking about Arya's sex scene is art."

Another joked: "LMFAOOO (sic) someone needs to take Sophie Turner's phone away from her."

Fans had been speculating about a romance between Arya and Gendry since the characters were reunited in episode one when they shared some flirty words, and were proved right in Monday's episode which saw things heat up between the pair.

On the eve of the Battle of Winterfell, Arya tells Gendry she wants to have sex to know what it feels like, given the pair were both likely to die in battle the next day, before getting it on.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about her reaction to the scene, Maisie explained she thought it was all prank.

"At first, I thought it was a prank," she said. "I was like, 'Yo, good one'. And [the showrunners were] like, 'No, we haven't done that this year'. Oh f**k!

"I got to the read-through and I'm reading the scene and thought, 'Oh, we're actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym'. A whole list of things."

Maisie also explained she thought the scene was a good addition, as it showed a more human side to Arya, you know, aside from all the 'kill lists'.

"It was really interesting because it's a very human relationship for Arya," she explained.

"This is something she's stayed away from, an emotion we've never really seen her engage with. David and Dan were like, 'It's the end of the world, what else would you have her do?'"
